Pediatric Diagnostician - Child Pianist Prodigy - Early Thirties - Complicated and a Half
Emma Silvias (aka Emmy by those closest to her) is the newest doctor at Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. A great achievement for anyone but when you add on the fact that as a child she was a long term patient there and well... It takes on a whole new level. As a young adult Emmy was an intern at the hospital in the Pediatrics Department under the tutelage of Nathaniel Zimmer much to House's dismay (he always saw her as a better fit for his department). It was during this time that she began to see, and even was engaged to, Lawrence Kutner. Due to a falling out at the hospital involving her coworker she was extremely close to (James Wilson who was always a bit of a father figure to her) and his girlfriend at the time, mixed with Emmy's inability to accept folks in her life due to being a ticking time bomb with her illness, she broke off her engagement and without telling anyone transferred hospitals never to be seen again... Until now...
Emmy is the kind of girl who cares too much and too hard which often gets her into trouble. She tends to take people for their word and when that word turns out to be a lie it sends her for a spiral. She is also incredibly witty and will trade banter when she's comfortable. Promise that your time is very well invested getting to know her - even as she figures her own sh** out.
